Victim-Centred RJ Projects

There are quite a few local victim-centred projects and resources linked to restorative justice that we encourage you to explore! RJV has been lucky enough to be a part of many.

  • PowerPoint slides from a webinar titled “Meeting the Needs of Victims and Survivors in Restorative Justice Processes through Capacity-Building and Collaboration,” centred around the Partnership Guide (above)
  • BC Government’s Victim Services and Crime Prevention September Info Bulletin, which is devoted to restorative justice (and features RJV)
  • Police Victim Services of BC’s “Insights” publication, which focuses on RJ
  • Community Justice Initiatives‘ “Restorative Justice Fellowship,” which is a two-part, province-wide advanced training for restorative justice practitioners that highlights the importance of being responsive, ethical, and well-prepared. (RJV has three representatives participating)
  • Document on ethics in RJ called “Walking the Talk” by Susan Sharpe, which discusses good practice and victim-centred approaches throughout
  • Fact sheet for victims who are considering restorative justice, by the BC government
